Discounts play a very important role in ticketing. Providing discount to users increases the chances of conversion and could be provided in the form of Earlybird discounts or Closing discounts.

Now, create and manage discounts for your Events to boost your sales from the jumper dashboard. This can be done as Events -> Manage Discounts 



On this page, a list of existing discounts would be shown which can be edited or deactivated at any point in time. New discounts can be created by hitting 'create new discount' button.



The discount engine of jumper provides flexibility and various variations. Here's a step by step guide on how to create discounts.



1. Discount code:
In this section the name of the discount coupon has to be defined. eg: BUY100

2. Discount type:
a. Automatic - Such discounts get applied automatically if all the discount conditions are fulfilled and code is valid.

b. Manual - Such discount coupon codes have to be manually entered by the shopper to avail discounts. 

3. Description:
This would consist detailed description of the discount created. This would be solely for your reference and would not be visible to your shoppers

4. Start date - End Date:
This defines the validity of your discount coupon, hence making it time limited. In this section the start and end date can be defined. In case if you wish to run discount indefinitely then, no end date option should be checked in.

5. Apply discount on selected days:
The discount coupons can be made applicable for all/specific days using this section. Depending upon your choice, the necessary boxes should be checked in.



6. Conditions:
This section defines the criterions for which the discounts would apply. There is a list of options available.

Please note that fixed % discounts, random % discounts, flat price discount and random flat price discount can be defined for all orders, orders over a specific amount, if quantity is over a specific number, a specific event and event variations.

Let us look into each one of them.

i)  Fixed Discounts: A set percentage would be provided as discount.

a. Fixed Discount for all orders:




This section would give a fixed discount on all the orders.

b. Fixed discounts for orders over:



This section would give a fixed discount only on orders over a specific value. 

c. Fixed discounts for quantity over:



This section would give fixed discount only if the quantity is over a specific number.

d. Fixed discounts for event:



This section would give event specific fixed discounts.

e. Fixed discounts for event variations:




This section would give variant specific fixed discounts.

ii) Random discount: Here, a range is defined for the discount percentage which is randomly selected at the time of purchase. As mentioned for fixed discounts, the random percentage discount can be applied for all orders, orders over a specific amount, if quantity is over a specific number, a specific event and event variations.



a. Random discount for all orders

b. Random discount for orders over

c. Random discount for quantity over

d. Random discount for all event

e. Random discount for event variations

iii) Flat price discount: A set amount would be provided as discount. As mentioned before, the flat price discount can be applied for all orders, orders over a specific amount, if quantity is over a specific number, a specific event and event variations.



a. Flat price discount for all orders

b. Flat price discount for orders over

c. Flat price discount for quantity over

d. Flat price discount for all event

e. Flat price discount for event variations

iv) Random flat price discount: Here, a range is defined for the discount amount which is randomly selected at the time of purchase. As mentioned before, the random flat discount can be applied for all orders, orders over a specific amount, if quantity is over a specific number, a specific event and event variations.

b. Random Flat price discount for orders over

c. Random Flat price discount for quantity over

d. Random Flat price discount for all event

e. Random Flat price discount for event variations

7. Usage limit:

This defines the limit/number of times a discount coupon can be used. This can set as unlimited or to a specific number of usage.



8. Limit per shopper:
This defines the limit/number of times a discount coupon can be used per user. This can have no limit or can be set as 1 use only or to a custom value.



Once all the details have been defined on the page and saved, the discount coupon gets created.
